About Me

Brought up in Cornwall, England.

I completed my Mental Health Nurse training in Torquay, Devon under Plymouth University.

Here I gained experience in a wide range of skills. Here are some appropriate in my role of life coach and Personal development trainer:

Running groups for people with mild to moderate mental health problems from GP practices. Memory clinic assesment and treatment: Group therapies, Memory classes etc.Provision and delivery of personal and professional training to NHS staff.Provisionand delivery of team building workshops for healthcare staff.Counselling individuals through times of stress and coaching through stress evoking situations.The use of the arts: drama and music therapy.

After completing my training I worked for a nusing agency Here I learnt

Nursing specific to those who had sustained head injuries, the relearning of daily living skills etc.Organisation and running of shifts and organising activities and staff often in unfamiliar environments with unfamiliar staff and patients!

Then I worked in a challenging behaviour Unit for people wih learning disabilities and mental illness. Skills I learnt here:

The use of boundaries in the therapuetic environment.Delivery of education to staff specific to mental illness and treatment..coaching of clients to gain independence in the community and fulfill their full potential

Since leaving England and my much loved work I have been a kindergarten teacher, a stay at home mum and now a life coach.

I hope to use all of the skills above and much more to help people to reach their full potential. I have a special interest in working with women in personal development and also working with people who wish to maintain their memories, expand their minds etc.

My groups are supportive and fun and more importantly keep you mentally healthy!!!
